Since 1996, the Institute for Social & European Studies (ISES) has organized the International Summer University in Kőszeg. The annual topic has always been constructed around contemporary European and global issues. The International Summer University is multidisciplinary and offers a great opportunity for experts, activists, practitioners and policy makers, researchers, social scientists and students to meet and discuss contemporary challenges and international cooperation.
Plans and preparations has recently begun for the XVIIth International Summer University, which will be devoted to reconciliation of minorities, cultures and religions, the crisis and future of the EU (migration, corruption EU citizenship, democratic deficit, Central Europen cooperation, democracy on the level of the EU) and human, political social and economical responses in the age of uncertainity. We will be posting further details regarding lecturers, topics, panel discussions, workshops and the programme continuously.

Participation Fee: The participation fee for the XVIIth International Summer University is 800 EUR and covers the cost of tuition, meals (lunch and dinner), field trips, and social and cultural events throughout the entire program. Participants are welcome from all countries. Scholarships are available for MA and PhD students.
ECTS: Following all classes and holding a presentation participants will receive a certificate of participation and ISES values this course certificate with 5 credits according to the European Credit Transfer System which are transferable to all universities.
