ISES and Corvinus University of Budapest, invite doctoral, post-doctoral students and young researchers to submit papers for the International Conference on Human Security and Global Transformation.



Call for Papers

The International Conference on Human Security and Global Transformation: New Challenges for Democracy, Civil Society and Sustainable Development, will take place at Corvinus University of Budapest on April 18, 2011.

Themes and topics:

  1. Uncertainty Management: Alternative Scenarios to the Global Crises
  2. The Crisis of Democracy: Representation and Politics
  3. Reinventing Sustainability and Competitiveness: New Roles for States, Markets and Societies
  4. The Transformation of Civil Society: Regional and Global Activism
  5. Redefining Security; International, European, National and Human

We expect to gather approximately 20 international researchers to present their papers with discussions during this one-day conference.

We are expecting approximately 500 word-long abstracts in the above-mentioned topics.

Please send your abstracts to andras.tetenyi@uni-corvinus.hu by April 1, 2011.

Proceedings shall be published in one of the journals of the Corvinus University of Budapest.

For those who are successful with their application for presenting, we will be able to provide cost-free accommodation in Budapest for the duration of the conference.
